Hey there! My name is Geena Marquez-Baide , a current freshman at East Jefferson High School, and proudly serving as a reporter for Global Stem Youth Journal (GSYJ). Since I was younger, my efforts in writing are frequently praised as outstanding along with my other academic pursuits, making it a passion to write about biology, explore astronomy as well as anatomy. I enjoy music and play various instruments, I also enjoy learning new languages and playing soccer often. One of my future career prospects is to earn experience in astronomy as well as a formal education in aerospace engineering. Since I started knowing more about Neuromarketing and its areas, I developed a deep and strong connection between me and Behavioural Neuroscience. Knowing more about the functioning of the human mind in our daily lives and how external influences can change it always makes my eyes sparkle, and I can not wait to start telling you what I have discovered until now! I turned 18 recently and was going through the phase I’m sure everyone goes through; the inner drive kicking in about helping make world a better place by talking about the global issues which need to be addressed. I believe I couldn’t have come across any opportunity better than being a part of GSYJ fulfil my this desire. My love for science is second to none but cricket (the sport). People call me a nerd to the point I love Physics and Chemistry, but to me the world has never seen any subject better than these two. As an ardent advocate for STEM and the way I see nature as a divine and solution to all our problems in life, cases of infectious diseases, disorders and many natural deaths have always captivated and grasped my attention. I am a 15-year old sophomore at Ardrey Kell High School with a deep interest in neuroscience, human anatomy, and advocacy. My role on the GSYJ's editorial team is to help raise awareness of current global issues surrounding STEM topics, including medicine. In my spare time, I love contributing to my community through various ways: creating online publications, supporting political campaigns, and volunteering at student-led nonprofit initiatives. Hello, I’m Evelyn and I’m a reporter for the GSYJ. I’m 16 and a rising junior in RRHS, and some of my personal interests include anything related to human sciences, history, and chemistry! I’m particularly interested in the inter connectedness between human anatomy and medicine combined with its history and development.
